Third Age 1100The SettingA campaign set in TA1100 provides a number of opportunities for roleplaying. The forces of Sauron are only now starting to return to the west of Middle Earth after the end of the Second Age over a millenium ago. At this time Gondor is at the height of its power with dominion over lands from Umbar to the Sea of Rhûn. The Dunedain of the south are prosperous and carefree, almost arrogant. In the north however the Dunedain realm of Arnor has fallen apart, riven in three in TA861. The three northern realms, Arthedain, Cardolan and Rhudaur, now co-exist uneasily with frequent minor skirmishes along the borders - especially around the great tower of Amon Sûl.
